Codes of Conduct
Purpose
This Code of Conduct is established to promote the values of respect, responsibility, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship across all levels of RTA Basketball. All participants—players, coaches, and parents—must adhere to these guidelines to represent our organization with pride and integrity.

Player Code of Conduct
As a member of RTA Basketball, I agree to:

Respect the Game

Play by the rules and respect officials, teammates, opponents, and coaches.

Accept calls and decisions gracefully, without argument or complaint.

Be Coachable & Committed
-
Listen to my coaches and apply instruction with effort.

Attend all practices, games, and team meetings on time unless previously excused.

Represent RTA Basketball with Pride

Maintain good behavior on and off the court.

Avoid profanity, taunting, or disrespectful behavior at all times.

Stay Academically Responsible
-
Maintain strong academic performance as a student-athlete.

Prioritize education and communicate if any academic conflicts arise.

Be a Good Teammate
-
Support and encourage teammates.

Avoid negative or divisive behavior.

Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct
As a parent/guardian of a player in RTA Basketball, I agree to:

Support the Program Respectfully
-
Cheer positively from the stands—never coach from the sidelines.
-
Respect officials, opponents, and coaches at all times.
-

Trust the Coaching Staff
-
Allow coaches to coach, and avoid interfering with game decisions or strategy.
-
Use the “24-hour rule” before addressing any game-related concerns.

Prioritize Sportsmanship Over Wins
-
Model respectful behavior for your athlete.

Avoid negative talk about other players, coaches, or referees.
-

Stay Involved Positively
-
Ensure players attend practices and games regularly and on time.

Support team activities and volunteer when possible.

Violation Policy
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in the following actions:

Verbal Warning
-
Written Warning
-
Suspension from Practices or Games
-
Dismissal from the Program (without refund)
The RTA Basketball staff reserves the right to evaluate each incident on a case-by-case basis and determine appropriate consequences.

Agreement
By participating in the RTA Basketball AAU Program, I agree to follow this Code of Conduct and understand the importance of upholding the values of the organization.
Insurance Policy
Purpose
All athletes participating in the RTA Basketball AAU program are required to have active accident and medical insurance coverage that provides protection in the event of injury or illness sustained during practices, games, tournaments, or other team-related activities.
This policy applies to:

All registered players
-
All team-sanctioned events (on or off-site)
-
All levels and age groups within the RTA Basketball program

Policy Requirements:

Insurance coverage must be valid and active for the entire duration of the athlete's participation in the program.

Proof of insurance must be submitted prior to participation in any practices, games, or tournaments.

RTA Basketball is not responsible for any medical expenses resulting from injuries, accidents, or illness that occur during team activities.
Refund Policy
Purpose
Participation in the RTA Basketball AAU program requires a financial and time commitment from all members. In order to maintain the integrity and operations of the program, the following No Refund Policy is in effect:
Policy Statement:
All payments made to RTA Basketball are non-refundable, including but not limited to:

Team registration fees
-
Uniform and apparel costs
-
Training fees
-
Tournament or travel fees
-
Tryout fees
This policy applies regardless of:

Player injury or illness
-
Scheduling conflicts
-
Player or family decision to withdraw from the program
-
Suspension or removal due to disciplinary action or violation of team policies
-
Changes to the schedule, tournaments, or travel plans

Purpose
